Study of Psycho Narrative

Research Task 2:
This task revolved around studying the film 'Psycho'.
It was released in 1960, and directed by Alfred Hitchcock. It follows the story of the protagonist, Marion, she disappears after stealing money from her employer. Her lover and sister try to find her and end up reaching the infamous Bates Motel, where they meet Norman Bates.
The aim for this task was me to showcase: - Understanding of narrative structure and narrative features - Understanding of how film openings work - exposition - opening scene in Psycho. - Understanding of how conflict is shown in thriller (inner conflict and external conflict) - Understanding of the codes and conventions of the thriller genre.
