A risk assessment is important in production because it helps identify potential hazards and risks associated with the production process. By assessing these risks, we can ensure safety.

We will need to assess the potential risks when at our location and engaging in activities that have potential danger.

Here is a table that covers all the potential risks.

Risk

Who is at risk?

How to avoid the risk

Is it high, medium, or low?

Collision with moving vehicles

Actors and crew, we may film a sequence where I will have to drive a car

  • Set up equipment away from road, drive slow and safe

Medium

Falling off objects

Crew, Asher has to stand on a stool in order for us to film the tap sequence with the fishing line, (there will be more info about that in following posts).

Make sure stool is stable, good balence

Low

Equipment malfuntions

Actors/crew, we have a smoke machine present, and many other pieces of equipment that will be set up, someone could potentially trip or the equipment could malfunction.

Set everything up safely, ensure everything is working fine, prior to using it

Medium
